The Cosmic Fragments by Heraclitus: “ The meaning of the river flowing is not that all things are changing so that we cannot encounter them twice, but that some things stay the same only by changing” (Heraclitus, 1954).
No one could be back to the past with a completeness.
An artefact that was inherited from the last generation, through the process of Calculate The Memory, the narrative that carried within the artefact was unwound and rewound. While unwinding, as if there’s no linear arrow traversing from present to the past. While Calculate The Memory was done in 2020, in the recent series Last Words Of The Dust, the materiality has found its own the shared logic between this cross disciplinary experience. A sense of speculation is elicited through the analogue, the materiality of two pieces of art drives imagination beyond words could articulate.
The fascination to the deposition of sedimentary rock was involved in the research of Last Words Of The Dust.
